Accessibility statement

1. Purpose

This Accessibility Statement provides information regarding the accessibility level of the NEPPS Portal.

2. Scope

This Statement applies to the NEPPS Portal and to the services provided through it.

It does not apply to third-party services or websites that are not operated or controlled by the Operating Authority.

3. Legal Framework

This Statement has been prepared in accordance with:

  • Directive (EU) 2016/2102 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies;
  • Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/1523;
  • Law 4727/2020;
  • EN 301 549; and
  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. 

4. Commitment

The Operating Authority is committed to continuously improving the accessibility of the NEPPS Portal and to ensuring equal access to its digital services for all users.

5. Compliance Status

The NEPPS Portal has been assessed as substantially compliant with the requirements of WCAG 2.1 Level AA, based on a self-assessment carried out by the Operating Authority.

6. Content That May Not Be Fully Accessible

Certain content may not yet be fully accessible, including:

  • archived material;
  • third-party content not under the control of the Operating Authority; and
  • documents or files that are exempt from the applicable accessibility requirements under the relevant legislation. 

The Operating Authority is committed to progressively improving accessibility whenever technically and operationally feasible.

7. Accessibility Features

The NEPPS Portal includes an integrated accessibility support tool designed to facilitate access to, and use of, its content by persons with disabilities and users with other accessibility needs.

Depending on the specific webpage and the technical configuration of the Portal, the available accessibility features may include:

  • High Contrast mode;
  • Font Size adjustment;
  • Line Height adjustment;
  • Letter Spacing adjustment;
  • Content Scaling;
  • Readable Font;
  • text alignment options;
  • highlighting of links and headings;
  • Text Magnifier;
  • Hide Images;
  • Reading Mask; and
  • additional accessibility features intended to improve the usability of the NEPPS Portal. 

On selected pages of the NEPPS Portal, text-to-speech functionality is also available, enabling users to listen to the textual content of the page.

Accessibility features may be enhanced, modified or expanded as part of the continuous improvement of the IIS NEPPS Portal.

8. Feedback

Users may submit comments, suggestions or accessibility-related requests through the IIS NEPPS Help Centre ticketing system.

9. Processing of Requests

Accessibility-related requests shall be examined and processed in accordance with the applicable legal framework and within the time limits provided by the relevant legislation.

10. Enforcement Procedure

Where a user considers that the response provided is unsatisfactory, he or she may refer the matter to the Greek Ombudsman, in accordance with the applicable legal framework.

11. Personal Data Protection

The processing of personal data carried out through the IIS NEPPS Portal is governed by the Privacy Policy of IIS NEPPS.

12. Review and Update

This Accessibility Statement shall be reviewed and updated whenever necessary.

The most recent version shall be published on the IIS NEPPS Portal.
